Independent researcher, USABiography
Dr. Robert W. Townsend, Ph.D. is an independent Researcher and research Author who lives and works in Albuquerque, New Mexico USA. He is a Mental Health professional since 1975 and an independent researcher/author since 2001. He owns and operates a private clinic since 1997. Dr. Townsend conducted an independent research program on a beneficial new treatment for Bipolar Disorders from 2007 through 2021. From 2014 through current he conducted another independent research program on a beneficial new treatment for Parkinson’s. His 15-page Bipolar Disorders treatment article titled Low-dose Risperidone every 3.8 hours: Superior Efficacy in Treatment of Bipolar Disorders was published 1/4/22 and 10/28/21 in the Journal of Psychology and Psychotherapy (JPPT).
His Parkinson’s program yielded three research articles: (1) 38-pages titled Long-term Methylphenidate Monotherapy for Parkinson’s: Biochemistry Analysis and 17-year Case Study was published 9/24/22 in the Journal of Neuro and Oncology Research; (2) 21-pages titled Biochemistry of Methylphenidate in Long-term Treatment of Parkinson’s was published 12/1/22 in the Acta Scientific Neurology journal; (3) 11-pages titled Methylphenidate Superior Efficacy Dosing Schedule: Three Hour Schedule for Immediate Release Tablets and Six Hour Schedule for Extended Release Capsules was published 5/22/23 in the Journal of Neuro and Oncology Research. JNOR gave Dr. Townsend a Best Author 2022 Award and a Best Author 2023 Award. He is currently authoring another research article on Methylphenidate for Parkinson’s illness that he expects to finish and publish by the end of 2024.
Dr. Townsend observed for a long time that before his new discoveries, Bipolar Disorder and Parkinson’s traditional treatments were widespread but very unreliable. Long-term use of traditional treatments historically made the disorders significantly worse because harsh side effects and adverse reactions intensified as dose-amounts necessarily increased.
Dr. Townsend has four University degrees, 40-years in the Mental Health profession, and 23 post-doctoral years doing biochemistry research. His superior treatments could benefit over 3.234 billion people worldwide; the combined populations of Bipolar Disorder patients and Parkinson’s sufferers, their household members, and their community members. As a Keynote Speaker, a Plenary Speaker, and in two research videos Dr. Townsend has presented his findings to 21 International Neurology and Health Conferences. For our conference today he’s presenting two research videos titled “Parkinson’s Ritalin Treatment” (48 minutes) and “Bipolar Treatment” (31 minutes).
